Services We Provide

INERT GAS SYSTEM SERVICING AND CALIBRATION

  • Due to the nature of their cargoes, tankers engaged in the crude oil trade have nearly always some parts, or the whole at their cargo tanks filled with flammable hydro-carbon gases.   During discharge and ballast passages, these gases are mixed with air in such proportions that sparks, flames or sufficient heat could start a combustion process which in an enclosed space would result in an explosion.

  • The provision of an inert gas system is to give absolute control by reducing the oxygen content of the cargo tank atmosphere to a level at which the combustion of hydro-carbon gases becomes impossible.

  • This oxygen reduction is obtained by replacing the air portion of the tank content by inert gas which are extracted from the main boiler exhaust gas system on steam ship or from the fuel gas of the auxiliary oil fired boiler on motor ship.

  • Primarily the installation of an inert gas system is intended to increase the safety at tank cleaning operation.  As an added advantage, the reduction of the oxygen level in the cargo tank space at all times should lead to a substantial reduction of steel corrosion.

  • We provide servicing and calibration for the following systems:

    • Servomex

    • NGK

    • SBS

Any other Systems

The vessel or rig today is a highly integrated ecosystem. We had been able to apply systematic engineering principles towards resolving technical issues on many other systems.
